The Cromer Tourist Information Centre is now temporarily based at Merchants’ Place. Their telephone number remains the same as before however if you would like to speak to somebody in person, they will be available between 9:30am – 4pm every day (7 days a week) at 16 Church Street, Cromer.

New Courses

There is a range of new courses starting at Merchants’ Place from September this year. Do you need extra qualifications to further your career? Or maybe you would just like try something fun? Have a look at the diary section on our website to see what’s happening or drop in and see us.

Closing Early

Please be aware that Merchants’ Place will be closed from 12noon on Wednesday 21st August. We will be back open as normal on Thursday 22nd. Thank you for your understanding.

New Courses 2019

A range of courses will be starting at Merchants’ Place from September such as Dressmaking for Beginners, Spanish, British Sign Language, English, Computer Skills, Maths and more. These are organised by Norfolk Community Learning Services. Free Norfolk Day Event

Join us at Merchants’ Place on Saturday 27th July between 10am – 3pm and explore Cromer’s rich coastal history. Discover more about the exciting new North Norfolk Deep History Coast Project, the Cromer Shoal Chalk Bed Marine Conservation Zone and Walk Cromer events. There will be something for everyone! Get involved with hands on activities such as beachcombing, dinosaur and marine themed kids crafts, fossil hunting and more!

Everybody is welcome to come along to this free, fun-filled and informative day! Merchants’ Place are organising this event in conjunction with Norfolk Community Learning Services.

Tickets on Sale Now!

Merchants’ Place are selling tickets for the upcoming North Lodge Park outdoor production. ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ will be showing on Saturday 6th July at 7pm. Each show is £6 per ticket, so be sure to get yours today – just drop into Merchants’ Place reception and speak to a member of staff. PLEASE NOTE: We are only open for ticket buyers Monday – Friday between 9am – 5pm.

Volunteer Open Day – Friday 7th June

Would you like to learn more about what is going on in and around Cromer? Would you like to help your local community?

It’s the North Norfolk Volunteer Hub’s 1 year anniversary in June and we would like to invite you to join us and see what is available for you locally. A range of organisations will be at Merchants’ Place on Friday 7th June between 1pm – 4:30pm to promote their volunteering roles and to talk to members of the public about what options are available. Everybody is welcome to come along, to have some refreshments and to have a informal chat with local people.

Volunteering provides many benefits to both mental and physical health! Volunteering helps counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety. The social contact aspect of helping and working with others can have a positive effect on your overall well-being and puts your skills to good use.

We have a new Volunteer Adviser who will be here at Merchants’ Place twice a week! Would you like to volunteer, or are you in need of volunteers for your organisation? Display Board

We have a display in our window at the front of our building for the Christmas period. This contains useful information about the local area such as events happening on Christmas Day, useful telephone numbers and organisation’s opening times between now and the New Year. If you are in need of any advice whilst we are closed, please have a browse of our display and see if this can help.
